History
First Congregational Church started with eleven people on July 9, 1869. The first few years they met in the property of the Presbyterian Church, the Baptist Church and others until they built their own building a few years later. The church grew along with Marshalltown and built the current building in 1914. Through the years they’ve determined to live life together and to be a blessing to the community and honoring of the Lord Jesus Christ.
